What is Nonica?

A Revit add-in that puts a library of small utilities on one custom ribbon tab instead of a stack of separate plugins, covering work such as coloring elements by parameter, creating room finishes, aligning tags, purging CAD links, splitting walls by level, and bulk renaming sheets and views. Users can publish their own Dynamo scripts as ribbon buttons without writing an add-in. An AI Connector runs a local MCP server so an assistant such as Claude can query and edit the open model by calling pre-built Revit tools rather than generating code.

Reviewed 2026-09-14. Barcelona company founded in 2020 by Jaime Alonso Candau and Blanca Serrano, with no funding, legal entity, or team size published and only the two founders visible. Autodesk Authorized Developer since 2021, corroborated by App Store listings dating to April 2021. The site's Anthropic official integration claim appears only on Nonica's own properties and could not be verified. Several figures disagree across the vendor's own pages: user counts of 46,589, 40,000 and 43,000, tool counts of 12 and 38 versus 35, and two different Pro prices. Customer logos including WSP, AECOM, and Arup appear in three non-matching lists with no case study behind any of them.

Limitations to know

Revit only, on Windows, for Revit 2020 through 2027, with the AI connector needing Revit 2022 or later and Revit open and running, so there is no headless or offline processing. The connector is limited to its roughly 50 built-in tools and cannot create complex geometry such as a custom staircase through conversation, which the vendor states plainly. Your model data does reach a cloud AI provider, and Nonica's policy places that processing under the provider's terms rather than its own, so the confidentiality question moves to Anthropic, OpenAI, or Microsoft. No SOC 2, no ISO 27001, no data processing agreement, and no software end user licence agreement is published; the only terms document on the site covers the affiliate program and is a United States law template. The accessibility and ADA checks are an assistant reasoning over geometry, not a codified rule set, so do not treat them as code compliance.
