Pirros
AIData ManagementMakes a firm's past details, families, and standards searchable by what is drawn

What is Pirros?
A platform that ingests a firm's Revit models and indexes the details, families, standards, and model groups inside them, using computer vision to read drawing geometry and annotation so people search by the condition drawn rather than by file name. Mira, a free natural-language agent inside Revit, runs multi-step tasks such as sheet setup, bulk parameter edits, renumbering, and tagging, and a working prompt can be saved as a named skill the whole firm reuses. A quality management system reviews a project set against firm standards, project specs, and building code, citing the sheet and the standard behind each finding.
Record updated 2026-09-16; the previous entry described a detail library, which the product has outgrown. Founded 2022 in Los Angeles by Ari Baranian and Peter Johann, both structural engineers, through Y Combinator Winter 2023. Raised a $2M seed in 2023 and a $15M Series A in December 2025 led by Elephant Ventures, confirmed by ENR. Vendor reports more than 400 firms and 4.2 million assets indexed. Lake Flato ran a year-long parallel trial against Autodesk Content Catalog, AVAIL, and Hive before choosing it. The Autodesk App Store listing still carries the older detail-manager description.
Key strengths
- Search finds content by the condition drawn rather than by naming convention, because computer vision reads the geometry and annotation
- ingests whole Revit models rather than requiring someone to curate and tag a library
- Mira runs multi-step Revit work from plain language and saves a working prompt as a named skill the firm reuses
- quality review checks a project set against firm standards, specs, and code, citing the sheet and the standard on each finding, and surfaces rather than auto-applies
- health scores rate every family and detail against configurable rules
- SOC 2 Type II with an independent penetration test and a stated commitment not to train models on customer data
Common use cases
Limitations to know
Mira is limited to Windows on Revit 2025 and later, and sign-in works only in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand, and Italy, which excludes most of Europe and all of Asia. Mira also has no admin role or firm-level permission model, so a firm cannot centrally govern its use. Two plugin generations run in parallel and the newer dockable pane is enabled firm by firm rather than generally available. Real-time co-editing has not shipped, which the vendor states on its own page. Scope is design documents and models, so there is no scheduling or accounting. Quality reviews and version upgrades are metered, so heavy use carries variable cost.
